Offices across South Jersey are ready to treat substance use disorders with compassionate, evidence-based care. There are effective treatments for use disorders involving opioids, alcohol, benzodiazepines, and other drugs.

Care for Pregnant and Parenting Patients

Cooper’s Center for Healing offers judgement-free and evidence-based care to people who are struggling with substance use while pregnant or newly postpartum. Through its Empowering Mothers to Parent and Overcome With Resilience (EMPOWR) program, the Center for Healing provides soon-to-be or new birthing parents with compassionate care for use disorders and offers patient navigation and wraparound services. 

EMPOWR operates on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at 808 Market Street, 2nd Floor, Camden, NJ 08103. Emergency care is always available through the emergency department.

Physical Health

  • Evidence based outpatient Addiction Medicine care including Medication for Addiction

  • Treatment (Buprenorphine, Subutex)

  • Coordination of inpatient medical stabilization

  • Collegial Group Medical Visits

  • On demand access to primary, prenatal, and pediatric care

  • Nutritional support (healthy meals at group visits, fresh produce)

Mental Health

  • Group and individual therapy with expertise in trauma recovery

  • Psychiatric evaluation and management

  • Peer support 

  • Art Therapy

Social Support

  • Emergency Housing Resources (when available)

  • Free infant/baby items

  • Scheduling and transportation assistance

  • Health coaching

  • Assistance for those without health insurance

  • On site child supervision during group meetings (when available)

  • Legal Services/Medical-Legal Partnership
